Role of grain and phase boundaries on deformation, internal stresses and damage during deformation of TRIP steels

TRIP steels contain austenite (FCC), ferrite (BCC) and martensite (BCT) which exhibit high strength, high ductility and high toughness at the same time. Considerable high internal stresses due to material heterogeneities and phase transformations are present in these materials and their influence on deformation properties and material failure are not well understood.
