Radiation-induced injection currents in polymer layers exposed to radiation on their outer side
Radiation-induced currents in polymer layers exposed to radiation on their outer side were theoretically analyzed under conditions when the role of secondary emission processes in establishing steady-state charging regimes is very insignificant (the potential of the open surface does not exceed one tenth of electron beam energy). The cases of both electron and hole conductivity of polymers were considered. The determining role of the frequency factor for the events of thermal detrapping of charge carriers in the choice of a model for describing the phenomenon in question was revealed. Previously published data on the issue are discussed and partly criticized.
