As the last decade has shown, several areas of materials science with strong research activities at Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) can mutually benefit from each other, when interdisciplinary exchange takes place. Therefore, the Materials Research Department (MRD) at RUB annually organizes the Materials Day, where materials scientists from RUB present their research in talks and posters.
In order to also strengthen the scientific exchange between young materials researchers at RUB, MRD organizes it's first ever Young Materials Researchers (YMR) Day. On December 3rd, 2018 and invites all PhD candidates and recently awarded postdocs from the faculties of chemistry, civil engineering, electrical engineering, geo sciences, history, mathematics, mechanical engineering, medicine, physics and research units like ICAMS, RUBION and ZGH to use the first YRM Day as a platform for scientific exchange.
