Maraging steels are steels possessing superior strength and toughness without losing deformability. They are a special class of low-carbon ultra-high-strength steels which derive their strenth from precipitation of inter-metallic compounds. In this presentation the influence of processing by equal channel angular pressing on the microstrure and strength of a new Fe-Ni-Mn based steel will be discussed based on results of experiments and numerical simulations.
