International workshop at Ringberg Castle (Tegernsee, Germany)

This workshop is devoted to the thermodynamic properties of unaries, forming the fundamental unit for the thermodynamic modeling of materials. It accounts for the fact that there have been many methodological developments and new insights since the Ringberg unary workshop in 1995. As a consequence, there is a need to synchronize the ongoing research in this field again, in order to obtain a generally accepted reference for Calphad modeling of alloys.
