Cohesion in the smallest format
There is no cohesion without bonds. Bonds keep atoms together and the mutual cohesion determines a large number of properties, such as the maximum operating temperature of an aircraft turbine or the energy density of batteries. New materials can be designed through targeted modifications to the cohesion of the atomic compound. Atomistic modeling and simulation help us to calculate the strength of bonds between atoms.
