Prof. Dr. Anna Grünebohm is interested in ferroelectric materials that are capable of cooling themselves under certain conditions, generating electricity from movement, and which are also used in sensors and new computer concepts. She has held the professorship for ‘Modelling and Simulation for Materials Design’ since the beginning of January 2026. Anna Grünebohm is a member of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Materials Simulation (ICAMS). She was previously a junior professor there. She is also a co-opted member of the RUB Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.
