Matthias Stratmann and Johannes Görler
from the Scalebridging Thermodynamic and Kinetic Simulation (STKS) have won the first prize in the start-up competion of Bochum Economic Development. The two young engineers want to offer services around OpenPhase, an open source software project targeted at the phase field simulations of complex scientific problems involving microstructure formation in systems undergoing first order phase transformations, developped at ICAMS.
Almost 100 start-ups applied for the award, which amounts to € 15.000,-.
