The current issue of Physica Status Solidi B (257, 1-3, 2014) features five articles with ICAMS contriutions in its Topical Section on computational thermodynamics.

The basis for this contributions was the joint ICAMS/MPIE "Ringberg unary workshop 2013" which covered the following topics:

• crystalline phases,
• liquid phases,
• lambda transitions in materials,
• effects of pressure and stress, and
• point defect thermodynamics.
