Ab initio Description of Iron and Steel: Mechanical properties

International scientific seminar at Ringberg Castle (Tegernsee, Germany)

October 24-29, 2010

The aim of the seminar is to bring together distinguished experts in ab-initio calculations and thermodynamic/kinetic modeling of metals and steels. In particular, the meeting will focus on recent developments in simulating their mechanical properties, including phase stabilities, energetics/dynamics of extended defects, failure mechanisms as well as multi-scale approaches.

The application / abstract submission deadline is August 15, 2010.
