Postdoctoral researcher (f/m/d) position in “FAIR collection, curation, and management of multidimensional research data“
Compositionally complex solid solutions, also referred to as high entropy alloys, show promise for clean energy systems. Their unique properties arise from complex surface structures, opening doors to better electrocatalysts. Our research focuses on understanding and controlling these surface structures, paving the way for more efficient and sustainable materials. The interdisciplinary approach involves experts in materials science, surface science, physics, chemistry, and data science. The goal is not just to create new catalysts but to enhance our fundamental understanding, eventually leading to the design of versatile and efficient electrocatalysts using abundant materials.
Within this CRC, the tasks associated with the position include the coordination of research data management. This entails the administration of the research data infrastructure together with the ICAMS IT team, the coordination of data ingest and metadata schema development, development of APIs, integration of data, and the co-organization of data literacy workshops. As part of the CRC-central data infrastructure, you will closely interact with all projects. However, the closest interaction will be with the project making use of the data to accelerate the discovery and understanding and a project for knowledge representation and ontologies.
Your tasks:
- Implementation and/or adaption of a semantic data lake including APIs
- Consultation, training, and support of other groups, possible topics:
◦ Data literacy
